When was Portugal Textile launched?
Portugal Textile was launched in 2007, back then our company name was Absoluttarget. In 2015, we decided to refocus our business and we relaunched with the name Portugal Textile.
Who does Portugal Textile work with?
Portugal Textile has a great experience working with approximately fifty factories (men, women, children) with different product categories (such as knits, wovens, outwear, shirts, pants, suits – any style you wish to produce) and with almost all fabric and team suppliers in the Portuguese market.
What type of brands work with Portugal Textile?
Portugal Textile works currently with mostly Scandinavian brands, from new brands and young designers to high-end brands. We work with total-look brands (with all market categories, from clothing to shoes), always with the best quality and flexibility.
What skillsets/specialities do the Portugal Textile team have?
Our team is composed of ten people that can work on all stages of the design and production progress of a project from the first sketch to the final product. We have experts in sourcing, textile prototype, product development, quality control and packing.

What do we need to start working on your collection?
Prepare a mood board that reflects what you want to produce, add any products (samples, fabric swatches or components that help us to understand what you want. Besides that, it is crucial to receive a tech pack and physical samples to start working on your project. At the next stage, we’ll analyse case by case the best options for you. If you need extra guidance on these requirements, we can help you.
Does Portugal Textile work on all types of garments?
Yes. We work with all the genders (men, women and kids) and all the categories (casual, leisure wear, workwear, ready-to-wear, swimwear, signature and haute couture styles).
Does Portugal Textile have Private Label models to use with my own label?
Yes, we have models available in our portfolio (link) and in our showroom that you can integrate into your own collection. We can either adapt existing products or develop completely new items.
Can you design on my behalf?
Portugal Textile has a wide and diverse network of designers around the world with the capability to make design and produce the tech packs as per your brief.
What is the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)?
We think that flexibility is vital when working with minimum order quantities. We analyse your project not only according to the MOQ, of the individual style, but across the total volume of your order. We will then endeavour to get the best price for the quantities that you wish to produce.
What are the usual payment conditions?
Once we have confirmed the full details of your order, our financial department analyses it and will then propose an appropriate solution for you.
How does Portugal Textile make the shipping and delivery?
We usually work with eco-terms, such as:
• EX WORKS: The Seller’s only responsibility is to make the goods available at the Seller’s premises. The Buyer bears full costs and risks of moving the goods from there to destination.
• FCA – FREE CARRIER: The Seller delivers the goods, cleared for export, to the carrier selected by the Buyer. The Seller loads the goods if the carrier pickup is at the Seller’s premises. From that point, the Buyer bears the costs and risks of moving the goods to
- FOB – FREE ON BOARD: The Seller delivers the goods on board the ship and clears the goods for export. From that point, the Buyer bears all costs and risks of loss or damage.
- CIF – COST INSURANCE AND FREIGHT: The Seller clears the goods for export and pays the costs of moving the goods to the port of destination. The Buyer bears all risks of loss or damage. The Seller, however, purchases the cargo insurance.
How does Portugal Textile deal with claims?
We always take care of our responsibilities. When there is a manufacturing defect, our solutions are for instance, repair, or produce again or a refund. We will always analyse this on a case by case basis and discuss our proposed solutions with you.
