We don’t know about you, but here at Portugal Textile we love fall and early winter. Why? Because it is time for knitwear season and all the knitwear trends that come with it. While it is not too cold and not too warm, and the weather still allows you to wear a wonderful cardigan or vest, this is our favourite time of the year. One could only wish for the whole year to be knitwear season!
Okay, so what’s to not like about knitwear? Nothing really. The pieces are super cozy and comfortable, versatile and in all colours imaginable, and come in all styles you like. You can wear your knitwear in oversized or fitted looks, with skirts or jeans, over long-sleeve shirts or crop-tops. Basically, there is a knitwear trend for anyone, and today we have a few to show you.

Cardigans
Our favourite knitwear for the winter is the cardigan. Not only because it can complement a lot of your outfits, but also because it’s cozy and comfortable to wear anywhere you want. Choose between oversized, long, cropped or collared, and you are set to go! There is a cardigan for each and everyone one of you, and all your favourite styles.
Neutral Jumpers
As we all know, jumpers are always in. And to keep your closet cool and chic, neutrals are essential. The minimal aesthetic has been a constant for a lot of seasons and these pieces can last in your wardrobe for many seasons to come. Wether in beige or grey, or even a cool brown, the only problem you’ll have is to choose between so many around you.
Vests
As we have been seeing on every Instagram account and all the fashion influencers, the jumper vest is here to stay. Houndstooth has been a great print for this piece, but we like them in all colours and patterns. Over a long-sleeve shirt, this will be the look of this winter. Choose an oversized shirt to keep the look very sleek or go for a long-sleeve elegant shirt and pants to get the monochromatic feel.
