From colour predictions to fabric trends, the runway always seems to take an accurate guess to what’s coming to the fashion world. As a result, 2020 wasn’t any different, and September brought us a few great surprises. In terms of colour, we were overwhelmed with intense hues of pink and orange, and also with soothing tones of beige and blue.
Of course white was an imperative color in any runway in September, while lime green only made an appearance in the last few months. The runway didn’t seem to care so much for this colour, but the fashion streets don’t agree with this! These are the colour trends for 2020, keep scrolling to see our top 5 colours of the summer.
Pink
Pink. This one is not a surprise. Since Jacquemus‘s S/S 20 show featured a hot pink runway and a few key pieces in the same shade, that we knew this colour was going to be an essential for 2020. For the summer you have so many options and in such wonderful fabrics like satin!
Beige
The sandy beige we love to wear all year long, comes to light this summer and we think this is great! Neutral colours are always a plus, because of their classy and elegant vibe, and they are perfect to show off your tan!
Pale Blue
This shade was seen in so many runways this year (Stella McCartney, JW Anderson, and so much more), and it keeps popping up in every fashion street. It’s only natural that pale blue became a colour trend in 2020!
White
As usual, white will be the colour to guide you through the summer, as it is and will always be such an exquisite colour. We’ve been seeing more and more all-white ensembles, but you can put on white trousers or shorts and a vibrant top to create a cheerful look!
Lime Green
After 2019’s colour pistachio, lime green comes in strong in 2020 and everybody is loving it! Some of the most contemporary brands are endorsing this colour trend in their newest collections, and most influencers are already wearing this incredible hue.
