Weekly Digest – Issue #3

When it comes to the new decade, the fashion industry brings a huge polarisation to the table. Pantone’s Colour of the Year is a primary color, really bold and strong, one to have in your wardrobe. On the other hand, however, you can discover muted tones of nu-minimalism, where the new trend is all about soft colours. The one hue these two trends have in common is green!
Sexy and practical clothes are the story of the pre-fall 2020 collections, where the big ideas of spring 2020 have been synthesized into garments that prize wearability over flash. The most obvious case here is that of the red carpet blancmange dress, which has been pared back into manageable layers of tulle or plissé pleats, creating a more manageable amount of drama.
