SS23 Fashion Inspirations And Trends – Modtissimo
At Modtissimo Talks stage there were several conferences from the best world trend forecasters, and fashion professionals like: WGSN, Carlin and Peclers.
Insights from the talks
We were at the Peclers and WGSN talks, learning about colours and inspirations for SS23, and Spring/Summer 23 Fashion Trends. There we took many insights to apply in the development of our clients fashion collections, as well as our design proposals.
From the talks, we are able to conclude that the main colours of SS23 are going to be bright and exuberant, with many orange, red and blue shades appearing. For the next season, fashion inspires itself in Action, Acid Baroque, Extra-Terrestrial, and Summertime global themes, according to Peclers talk. Extra-terrestrial theme, focuses on the attraction for nature stretches to the cosmos and below the earth, sparking the imagination with a focus on sustainability. Although, Acid baroque remains to an exuberant, joyful wardrobe that offers an exalted released and exacerbated spontaneous sensuality and rich aesthetic.
When it comes to season’s range and applications fashion bases itself in Powerful, Delirious, Urban, Organic, and others. Let’s focus on Organic theme. It brings to palettes the sensual touch of skins and natural fibers, like recycled and raised textures. In opposition to the exuberant theme, organic shades are soft, warm, and surfaces from simplicity.
Urban, the luxurious floral palette combines tones that are intense and bright, and remains to a rich baroque era. Monochromatic looks like suits will be a smart casual look for SS23, as well as the mix of different colour blocks.
Talking about fashion trends, we are going to have some macro fashion trends, like: Design Wise, Vintage Pink, and Inclusive Outdoors. Furthermore, they refer to the digital world, nature, organic materials, vintage, vertical stripes, elegance with cut outs, and phygital fantasy.
New Eco-Responsible Materials
So, the motto for the “Color and Fabric Trends Forum” and “Exhibitor Selection Forum and Sustainable Future” of this edition was a traditional fresh produce market with flowers & aromatic herbs and vegetables & fruits, respectively.
Furthermore, at the “Exhibitor Selection Forum and Sustainable Future” were presented a wide range of textiles and fibers. All of them were sustainable, furthermore had labels like: “Responsible Production”; “Eco-Friendly Finishing”;”Recycled”;”Organic”. So, visitors and buyers could see and feel the different textiles, textures, prints, and colours. And choose from a vast array of options according what they are looking for. This way the sourcing and work become much more easy.
Furthermore, during our visit to the fair and exhibitors we were focused on finding the latest eco-responsible and sustainable materials. And of course, we found some amazing materials, like: leather alternative made from grape fibers; leather alternative made with pineshell fibers. Furthermore, new sustainable materials made with cork. And many others like bio poliéster, tencel, lyocell, organic and recycled materials and fabrics.
